 “African music rising” – Wizkid says as he congratulates Angelique Kidjo and Black coffee following his Grammy Award loss

Popular Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun professionally known as Wizkid has taken to social media to hail Beninese singer, Angélique Kidjo and South African singer, Black Coffee for making Africa proud following their latest achievement at the just concluded 2022 Grammy Awards.

Recall Intel Region reported that the 64th Annual Grammy Award took place on April 3rd 2022 at he MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, U.S.A. Unfortunately, Wizkid who has two nominations that include Best Global music performance (Essence) and Best Global music album (Made in Lagos: Deluxe edition) was snubbed as lose boths award to Pakistan singer, Aroof Aftab’s “Mohabbat” and Beninese singer Angélique Kidjo.

Taking to the insta-stories section of his verified Instagram page Wizkid celebrates ngélique Kidjo and Black Coffe for their wins and for their consistency in always putting African music on the limelight for the world to see.
