AMVCA9: “Maybe there was a mistake” – Kunle Afolayan on Kunle Remi missing out on the 2023 nominees list

Popular Nigerian movie producer and director, Kunle Afolayan has reacted to actor Kunle Remi missing out on the AMVCA 2023 nominees list.

Kunle Remi has been one of the trending conversations on popular microblogging platform Twitter as he wasn’t nominated for any categories at the AMVCA9.

Despite the fact that Anikulapo movie by Kunle Afolayan gets nominated for overall best movie, the lead actor of the movie Kunle Remi “Saro” who was special in the movie get no nomination even though her colleague/partner in the movie, Bimbo Ademoye “Arolake’ bagged nominations. Kunle Remi is also well known for his role in Toyin Abraham’s movie, Ijakumo.

However, Kunle Remi via his official Instagram page clears the air as he jokingly brags that he would have won if he gets nominated for any categories and also added that may the best man wins.

Reacting to this, Kunle Afolayan who bags 16 nominations with the Anikulap0 movie drums support for Kunle Remi as he noted that his best is yet to come.

He further alleged that organizers of AMVCA9 might have made a mistake by not putting his name on the 2023 nominees list.

Kemi Afolayan wrote;  “Iwo ma wo nti e. We are have not arrived and your best is yet to come. Boya won de se mistake ni🤷🏽‍♂️.”
