CCTV footage captures the moment South African rapper AKA was shot dead (Video)

A CCTV footage has captured the moment popular South African rapper Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, also known as AKA was shot dead.

Recall Intel Region reported that AKA was shot and killed on Friday night in Durban. Reports indicate that AKA was the target of a drive-by shooting that took place outside the Wish Restaurant on Florida Road.

AKA was killed along with his close friend, the chef and entrepreneur Tebello ‘Tibz’ Motsoane on their way to a nightclub for a performance as part of his birthday celebration.

A CCTV around the premises on Florida Road, Durban, South Africa, showed the moment the rapper stepped out with a couple of friends before the attack.

The suspects came out of nowhere and shot AKA and his friend at close range multiple times before taking on their heels. The motive of the killing is being investigated.

Prior to his passing, the 35-year-old shared on social media about his upcoming album, “Mass Country,” which is slated to be released in the coming weeks.
