Following Nigerian’s surge in breaking the world records, Guinness World Records has issued, somewhat, a warning.
It all started when a Nigerian chef named Hilda Baci shattered the record for the longest cooking hours by an individual. Since then, Nigerians have been attempting to break records for the longest crying hour, the longest movie-watching hour, the longest singing hour, the longest dancing hour, and a few other intriguing feats.
Amidst this flurry of record-breaking attempts, a post revealed the response from Guinness World Records to an individual in Nigeria who planned to break the records for “idea-a-thon” and “puff-a-thon.”

The statement said, “Please enough with the record-a-thons’. In a different statement on its verified Twitter page, the body advised people to first get a record title approved by their team before any marathon is attempted.
The organization wrote, “We love the record-a-thon enthusiasm but we would suggest getting a record title approved by our team before attempting these marathon records!” Checkout the post below:
