It is of no news that there is a royalties war over the ‘Machala’ song, sang by Carter Efe and singer Berri Tiga.
The rivalry cost the two artiste to lose the song from being heard as it was removed from Spotify and Apple music streaming platforms.
However, Carter Efe recently took to his Instagram handle to explain his side of the story in a bid to prove his innocence.
During the IG live session, he revealed that Berri Tiga’s management reached out to him requesting sixty-five per cent ownership right for his song ‘Machala’.
Even though Carter Efe noted during his live session that he doesn’t know how to sing, produce or write songs, he insisted that Machala is his song, spending money on the song’s promotion.
He also stated that he had the whole idea of the song, spending 3.5 million for the song to be distributed across.
Carter also accused Berri Tiga and his camp of trying to rip him, and he swore by his head, saying the wrath of God would catch up with all those trying to rip him. Watch the video below:
