I did not mean to do harm, I am sorry – Singer Brymo makes a U-Turn as he apologizes to all Igbos

Popular Nigerian singer and songwriter, Olawale Olofooro better known as Brymo has taken to his official Twitter handle where he makes a U-Turn and by extension apologizes to all Igbos following his series of tribally motivated posts.

Brymo, the “Ara” hitmaker has been one of the trending conversations on the popular microblogging platform, Twitter after he says that Igbo not ripe for Nigerian Presidency.

The singer who is a supporter of APC presidential flag bearer Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a Twitter post said that it is not wise to elect the former governor of Anambra Peter Obi as President this year as he noted that Obi will have to organise “his home front” to convince other regions that Nigeria will be safe in the hands of an Igbo man.

Brymo makes the the straw to break the camel’s back, then further got social abuzz after he tweeted, “F**k The Ndi Igbo!! To Hell With It!!”.

Reacting to this, all the Igbos went aggressive as they throw heavy shades at him. 28,000 Nigerians sign petition against Brymo that stopped him from winning at the 2022 AFRIMA award over anti Igbo- remark.

In recents post online, Brymo said that he has changed his mind and seek forgiveness from all the Igbos (easterners).

He tweeted, ” I changed my mind…”

“Forgive my assertions that came across as bigoted spewings against the Igbo tribe, I did not mean to do harm, I am sorry!! ..My apologies are extended to all igbos that may not know too… I missed that cos I am deeply affected most around once I’m closer to … do accept my sorry , I did not mean harm.”
