“I regret travelling to Libya” – Returnee who sold all properties to travel narrates sad experience (Video)

A Nigerian man identified as Kingsley who sold all his properties to start a journey to Libya, has revealed his heartbreaking experience while he was travelling to Europe passing through Libya.

Being an electrician, he thought that traveling to Europe would be a stepping stone to his success. But his dream turned to nightmare as he went through hell being in Libya.

Speaking with Legit.ng, he narrated how he was deceived by his friend who advised him to travel to Europe through Libya.

His friend convinced him that sailing would be the greatest alternative for him, and that he would arrive in Europe in no time.

He said, “My friend na em tell me about the Europe issue. So I come across am for Facebook. E tell me say Europe na enjoyment. And e dey post pictures wey dey enter my eye. And I don see people wey travel and immediately dem come back, Dem go build house for Nigeria”.

Kingsley started off for his journey, dressed casually and carrying a tiny backpack. When the adventure began, he realized he had made the worst mistake of his life.

According to the returnee, they arrived in a Libyan desert and were promptly checked by soldiers. After a thorough search, they threw them in a prison with more than a million convicts.

He revealed that Libya prison was hell as he watched people lose their lives. He stated, “”The first night I entered there, three people died. Na that time I know say na problem. People many without shirt. Everybody gum each other. And the prison na hall o. People wey dey inside na a million plus”. “Them come connect pipe to the sea and the sea na green water. Kingsley was released from prison after 31 days and returned to Nigeria with nothing.
