Nigerian ambitious biker, Kunle Adeyanju, who has set out from London to ride his bike down to Nigeria has explained why he encountered issues while trying to enter Cote D’Ivore.
Kunle had set out from London on Thursday, April 28, 2022 on his bike, crossing Mauritania, Malaysia, Senegal, Mali and some other African countries except Ghana and his final destination, Nigeria over the past 19 days.
However, he encountered problems while trying to cross from Mali to Cote D’Ivoire citing permit issues.

Speaking with LEGIT today, Monday, 16th of May, 2022, Kunle explained that The laissez-passer he presented at the Cote d’ Ivoire border was issued to him by the Nigerian Embassy in Mali just in case he encountered any problems on his way. As an ECOWAS citizen with a Nigerian passport, Kunle didn’t really need such a permit but was issued one as a precaution.
Laissez-passer is a travelling document granting unrestricted access or movement to its holder which is basically issued by authority.
Kunle revealed that the border authorities rejected the permit, saying it was supposed to be issued by the Nigerian Embassy in Cote d’Ivoire, and not Mali.
It was reported by Kunle Adeyanju himself, who keeps updating his friends and his well-wishers that he has reached Burkina Faso. See his post below:
