Popular social media critic, Daniel Regha in a recent post has advised popular Nigerian singer, Olamide on the need to sign Igbo and Hausa artistes to his record label, YBNL.
Daniel Regha made this known in a post shared via his official Twitter handle on Wednesday, September 21st while referring to Olamide as a great label manager.
According to Daniel Regha, Olamide who has brought so many artistes to limelight when it comes to music business is fond of signing only Yoruba artistes which he found as being discouraging.
Daniel Regha noted that Olamide need to sign at least one Igbo and Hausa artistes to his record label that has been filled with Yoruba artistes as this will level up the playing ground fro the non-Yorubas and by extension promote equal access to opportunities and other resources in the music industry.
Daniel Regha tweeted; “Olamide needs to sign at least one Igbo, & an Hausa artiste to YBNL; This will promote inclusiveness. He’s a great label manager who’s adored by millions, but he’s fond of signing only Yoruba artistes which is discouraging cos it doesn’t level the playing field for non-Yorubas.”

@MarkOsuchukwu: He doesn’t owe Igbo people anything! Igbo artists wey we get no dey do anything to promote their brothers. Na just to dey smoke loud dem Sabi. Phyno and Flavor especially. Everybody should face their own people. That is how it should be.
@Splendsta: He doesn’t need to sign an Igbo to promote inclusiveness. He did so well for Phyno and promoted him. He should do whatever pleases him n not what you want. You can open a record label n sign Odumeje and Ali Nuhu if you want or care so much about inclusiveness.
@opsynea2j: YBNL is not Nigeria , its a business empire . Let the owner of the Biz decide on who to sign in . Btw, What value did Dija add to Mavins ?????!!!!
@Not_Tolulope: What’s your business with who Olamide signs and who he doesn’t?.
@Loisshakmahh: Mr Daniel there are 700 tribes in Nigeria ..Why can’t you say he should sign a Nupe ijaw itshekiri tiv benin Esan artist since you think YBNL is now a political party .
@Zukkyroy61x: But he made a point sha, Phyno has only one artist and he’s a Yoruba Cheque. MI has Blaq Bones from Igbo tribe. At least make e no go be like tribal thing.
