OOni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi has officially weds Oil and Gas big girl, Mariam Anako.

Ooni of Ife, a highly revered Yoruba Monarch marries yesterday, September 6th, 2022 at the Enuwa’s Palace in Ile-Ife to Mariam Anako, a top management executive (Administrative Manager) of Nestoil Limited; Nigeria’s largest indigenous Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Commissioning (EPCC) Company in the oil and gas sector.

Mariam Anako is the 3rd woman the Ooni of Ife has married within his 6 years on the throne as the king.

The traditional wedding ceremony took place at the palace and the bride was accompanied by her family and friends gleefully dressed in the popular HOH lace attire all looking glamorous stormed the palace in grand style to witness the wedding.

According to sources; she was given the necessary traditional rite last night with the popular pouring a reddish substance on her legs which will officially usher into the palace as a bride.

Sources claimed she might leave for Lagos today along side her people as she will not be resident in the palace due to the nature of her job.

The bride comes from a very influential family in Kogi State.  Her elder sibling, Medinat Anako is a lawyer, businesswoman and also Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs and Kogi State Diaspora Focal Point Officer (DFPO) to Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State. While another of her elder siblings, Mrs Raliat Abdulrahman nee Anako is a Special Adviser to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.

Her grandparents are of Kogi State descent Igbira to be precise but settled in Kwara state  Ilorin with their family house situated Adewole Estate. Despite losing her father at a tender age, she was raised by former IGP Mohammed Dikko Abubakar who reigned as the boss of the Nigerian Police between 2012 to 2014.

Recall that In 2008, Ogunwusi married Adebukola Bombata, from whom he separated in 2016.

From 2016 to 2017, he was married to Zaynab Otiti Obanor from Edo State.

In October 2018, he married Prophetess Morenike Naomi Oluwaseyi.

In December 2021, Morenike Naomi posted on Instagram that they were separated, but the statement was contradicted hours later by the palace.

He has also been rumoured to be married to Olori Ashley Afolashade whom he introduced to his birthday party guests as his wife in October 2021.

Note that Ooni Adeyeye Ogunwusi was selected from the Giesi Ruling House of Ile-Ife, amongst indigenes who were also heirs to the throne on 26 October 2015. He received his staff of office on 7 December 2015. He has been described as an ‘astute entrepreneur driven by the need to turn impossibilities into possibilities.
