Rema expresses joy as football fans vibe to his song calm down at the Qatar 2022 world cup (Video)

Undoubtedly, Afrobeats is now a music genre that has been recognized globally and Nigerian artistes have been putting the country name on the world map.

One of the proof of Afrobeats growth is a recent video that was seen online of a stadium packed with fans in Qatar singing and vibing to Rema’s song, Calm Down. 

Recall the Qatar 2022 FIFA world cup kickstarted on November 20th, 2022 and will come to an end on December 18th, 2022. As at the moment of filling this content, countries participating in the world cup are already at the knockout stage while some are already back to their various countries following their elimination from the group stages.

Recall few days ago, Intel Region reported that singer Kizz Daniel and his colleague Patoranking were invited to the FIFA Fans Festival celebration. It was a super display of Afrobeat at its best. 

Rema is one of his generation’s fastest-rising young Afrobeat musicians; to touch on Divine’s international recognition over the last 3-years, at least one of his tracks has consistently featured on former US president Barack Obama’s yearly music playlist. 

Sharing the video of the moment fans went wild to his Calm Down song, Rema expresses his utmost joy and wrote; “World Cup stadium, woke up grateful 🤲🏾 #afrobeats.”
