Singer Iyanya gives thanks to God as he reflects on when he used to beg in 2021

Popular Nigerian singer Iyanya Onoyom Mbuk profesionally known as Iyanya has taken to social media to give thanks to God as he reflects on when he used to beg in 2021.

The “Jombolo” crooner made this known in a post shared via his official Twitter handle today, December 14th, 2022.

In the post, Iyanya recounts the ordeal he went through in the year 2021 as she noted that he was only able to perform at 3 shows out of which he was only paid for one and begged for the other 2 just to be ssen.

Recall Iyanya rose to fame after winning the first season of Project Fame West Africa and is best known for his hit single “Kukere”. He co-founded the record label Made Men Music Group with Ubi Franklin in 2011. He won the Artist of the Year award at The Headies 2013

As at 2013, Iyanya worth multi-millions of naira as he bags several endorsement with great brands that include, Solo Phones Nigeria, Toyota Prado, Zinox Computers, MTN, among others. He also released several hit tracks that include, Ur Waist, Flavour, Sxxy Mama and bags several shows both home and abroad until the year 2017 where he was nowhere to be found any longer in the Nigeria music industry.

However, Iyanya managed to gain prominence again in the Nigeria music industry as he released nostalgic bops dubbed, Like featuring Davido and Kizz Daniel, One-Side among others.

Comparing last year December to this year 2022 December, Iyanya said he now wakes up everyday to alerts for shows as he is already booked with 20+ shows this month.

Iyanya tweeted, “Last year December 2021, I performed at 3 shows, one paid and I begged to perform at 2 just to be seen. 2022 December, I wake up and everyday to alerts for shows, haven’t had this kind of busy december since 2017. 20+ shows in on month. God Thank you. And to my fans and everyone who streamed my music this year, God Bless you. There’s got to be more and I promise 2023 will be a better year for everyone who has supported me this year.
