Taking to her official Instagram page, Mercy Johnson stated that Purity left Nigeria for Dubai to represent her school in swimming at the World School Games in Dubai.
According to her, although her daughter didn’t come first, she’s optimistic that she’ll do greater than her. She added that things she never dreamt of achieving as a child are already being achieved by the damsel.
A peep at the scoreboard in the video she shared on her IG page showed that Purity came third.
Sharing the video, Mercy Johnson accompanied it with the caption;
“So for the first time since Purity was born, I let her leave my sight to represent her school in swimming at the world school games in Dubai. Her dad went with her.
Did she win? No
Am I proud? Yes. So proud that I can’t stop tearing up.
This is her first tournament and she had less than a month to prepare.
She is and will do greater than mummy. Things I never dreamt of as a child are been accomplished by her and that makes me happy. ..
May all our hopes and dreams for our kids come to pass, may we never cry over them IJN. Amen.
@o.oluwanishola ❣️thank you so much for cheering for her and sharing this moment with [email protected] was sending me the worst videos jor. God bless you.”
