Popular Nigerian singer, Divine Ikubor professionally known as Rema in a recent chat revealed why he choosed to study at the prestigious University of Lagos (UNILAG).
Recall in January 2022, the Mavin Records signee disclosed that he gained admission to study theater arts at UNILAG and by extension got overwhelming reactions from internet users.
Although Rema over the past couple of days expressed disappointment over the ongoing ASUU strike as he noted that he has not seen the four walls of the University since he gained admission.
Speaking with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu on the show Rubbin’ Minds, Rema revealed why he had chosen to study here in Nigeria; according to him, regardless of his career in the music industry, he still lives here in Nigeria.
When asked the main reason behind his decision, he said:
“Because I live here mostly; in Lagos.”
Speaking further Ebuka asked why does he decided to go back to school despite his huge fame being an already established singer in the country.
Responding, Rema said as a human being we learn everyday noting that there is couple of things life and school can teach you as he concluded that his intention to back to school was mostly because of his mum.
