Mabel Makun, the wife of popular Nigerian comedian, AY in a post on social media weighed in on media personality, Stephanie Coker controversial statement about Nigerian women “They greet guys, not the women.”
Recall Intel Region reported that Stephanie Coker becomes one of the trending conversations online after she reveals one of the reasons she finds it hard to make friends with women born and raised in Nigeria.
During her podcast tagged “meherandeverythingelsepod” that featured Make up artiste, Anita Adetoye and fashion stylist, Tolu Bally, Stephanie Coker who is a TV presenter speaks on how a Nigerian bred woman can meet her and other men seated at a table at an event and will only greet the men and ignore her fellow woman.
However, the video was welcomed with mixed reactions while some ladies dragged Stephanie Coker over what she uttered about Nigerian women, other stand strong with her opinion as regards the mindset of Nigerian ladies.
In her own response, AY’s wife, Mabel Makun expressed her utmost displeasure at media personality Stephanie Coke comment as she asserts that she is wrong. She added that she grew up in Nigeria and she greets everybody whenever she enters a place irrespective of the gender.
She wrote, “This is as shades of wrong. I grew up in Nigeria and when I walk into a place, I say hello to everybody regardless of the gender.”
