Job Description:
  • The need to maximize the benefits in an MS setup and provide an active real-time oversight to the heart-beat of the Network Operation Centre in the MS Operation environment led to the setting-up of Network Assurance Centre (NAC).
  • The Network Assurance will be responsible for analysis of NOC KPIs and drive improvement in the Partner NOC for optimal benefit and provide service assurance.

Responsibilities
Network Assurance: BSS / Transmission / Core

  • Assurance of NOC Alarm handling for active elements by shadowing and monitoring partner
  • Assurance of Trouble Tickets (TT) for active elements. Monitor and escalate trouble tickets as per escalation matrix
  • Assurance of parameter data/change requests for active
  • Track and record service assurance impacting outages
  • Trigger Service Assurance sign-off
  • Follow through to ensure completion of Service Assurance sign-off
  • Interface with different Network domains to ensure tracking of Service Assurance impacting outages

Assurance Reports for both (Active & Passive) Elements within BSS / Transmission / Core:

  • Ensure timely reporting from partner NOC as per contractual and agreed timeline
  • Follow through for on-demand assurance reports
  • Generation of reports to measure, analyze and improve NOC management process

Management of Change End-to-End:

  • Effective management of change requests for active elements by monitoring and ensuring closure of approved change requests as planned.

3rd Party Follow Up:

  • Follow-up and ensure Trouble Tickets pending with 3rd Party support partners like ISPs or others

Follow Up and Ensure Trouble Tickets Pending with 3rd Party Support Partners:

  • Coordinate incidents requiring alignment between TowerCo and Manage Service Partner NOC

Governance:

  • Drive daily outage sign-off between active and passive partners
  • Partner NOC KPI monitoring and sign-off
  • Develop updated Quality Assurance methodologies using in-house or external resources
  • Work with Network Performance Analysis team to help validates the effect of the Change Request by comparing before and after CR implementation
  • Audits all network elements (NEs) current DBs (i.e. MSC/MSS, MGWs, Transport /BSS/BTS/Cells, etc.) to ensure possible missing or unnecessary pieces in the DBs (if any) to be added or removed from the NEs DBs respectively
  • Conducts regular and ad-hoc QoS test calls (local/international) to evaluate call setup times, correct charging & voice qualities to ensure error free product services
Qualifications and Requirements:

Educational Level & Functional / Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor of Engineering or B. Tech Degree (Electrical / Electronic, Telecommunication or related fields)
  • Expert on Mobile Network Operations Assurance (BSS/Transmission/Core)

Head, Revenue & Market Planning

Job Description:
  • Manage and co-ordinate the cohesive delivery of multiple business facing (Customer and Revenue impacting) IT support (SIT) solutions/applications by acting as the vital link between business teams (user departments) and service providers to ensure application development/ customization as per defined specifications and seamless integration on Airtel Africa’s IT platform and drive optimal delivery of IT support as per defined cost, time, quality parameters.

Responsibilities
GR & iRMS:

  • Analyze Revenue and Marketing data to help the businesses to achieve the Targeted Revenue & IRMS

Prepare Revenue Forecasting, Tracking & Revenue Analysis:

  • Lead the annual AOP exercise
  • Monthly F&F submission
  • Monthly MRPP submission
  • Subs and Revenue module ownership
  • Revenue Variance analysis
  • Revenue Tracking and Update
  • Drive weekly cross functional Revenue Review

Product Portfolio Control & Rationalization:

  • Analyze Customer & Business impact of all new Propositions launched, so that a corrective action / learning can be taken for future.
  • Lead Segmented ER Correction on a continuous basis Integrating marketing verticals through various marketing and revenue analysis and pricing decisions to help achieving the business goals.

Market and Competitive Intelligence:

  • Track Competition Strategy w.r.t Plans & Products.
  • Subscriber Reporting and tracking through micro level analysis of MTC and SOGA (Share of Gross Adds).
  • Site wise monthly KPI tracking.
  • Tracking of competition sites and their Performance on Market KPI’s
  • URO/UAO Tracking

Network Planning & Optimisation:

  • Pre rollout evaluation (Target 70% Sharing)
  • 100% compliance to New Site Rollout through PCN approval
  • Post rollout location launch

Ensure Compliance of Marketing Processes:

  • PCN Process
  • Website updates
  • Others

Information Management:

  • Overall Business Intelligence Responsibility and supporting all marketing verticals for data mining
  • GIS Data analysis and site wise KPI tracking
  • Internalizing online Revenue Forecasting and Annual Operating Planning through COGNOS
Qualification and Requirement:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Economics or other related Social Sciences.
  • Post Graduate Degree Business Management or others.
  • Exposure to Financial Courses during Grad/ PG an additional plus.

Working Experience:

Must have:

  • Minimum experience of 10 years or more overall experience.
  • Must have at least 3 years of marketing experience (preferably product management) in Telecom.
  • Cross functional exposure in other Business areas like Finance is a plus and need not necessarily be in the Telecom field.

Job Description:
  • Achieve and maintain a high quality level of the 3G / 2G / LTE Radio Network Services, and ensure high quality performance on all technical activities, and the highest possible level of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide effective technical support and continually seek for quality improvements within the Mobile Network Optimization project.

Key Accountabilities

  • Defines and measures the unit KPIs(Key Performance indicators)
  • Follows-up the evolution of the radio system quality.
  • Proposes indicators for the continuous analysis and follow-up of radio voice and data quality of service, generates proper alarms and recommends solutions when needed.
  • Proposes preventive and/or corrective actions for the provisioning of acceptable QoS for voice and data services.

  • Responsible for reducing congestion and drops, improving the IRAT Handover, Soft Handover, Location Update, Paging, CSSR, RRC Connection & RAB Establishment Success rate in his designated area for all Voice, Video Packet & High Speed, issuing capacity requests whenever needed.
  • Responsible for Inconsistencies Checks, Packet Throughput, Parameter changes & Physical changes.
  • Responsible for testing the radio performance for the newly integrated sites.
  • Discuss the frequency & Scrambling Code retunes requests with his team leader for his designated area.
  • Responsible for the drive test analysis and taking the necessary action to improve the performance of his area.
  • Participate in technical discussions with the customer in order to gather product-related information.
  • Perform Radio Network Surveys, i.e. visit possible sites in order to judge if they are suitable from a radio network point of view (Hardware & Location).
  • Follows-up and ensures the existence of sufficient capacity in the radio network (including on the BSC-BTS and the air interfaces).
  • Researches and implements solutions for continuous service improvement in respect to parameter settings and configuration.
  • Investigates and recommends proper solutions for customer complaints; validates proposed solutions related to parameter modification on the radio network.
  • Validates the recommended radio parameters and configuration provided by the unit.
  • Proposes and verifies the implementation of optimal solutions in order to improve operational efficiency of the unit.
  • Follows corrective actions based on the internal reports of coverage analysis.
  • Follows-up general Radio access technology trends relating to radio optimization activities and assists the RAN Research & Studies unit in the update of Radio engineering guidelines accordingly.
Qualification and Requirement:
  • Relevant University Degree in Engineering
  • 10 years of experience in 2G, 3G, 4G
  • Minimum of 5 years optimization & Planning experience, primarily in Optimization of 4G
  • Minimum of 4 years with vendors experience or well-known operators in telecommunication or related field
  • Excellent knowledge of the field of 2G/3G/4G radio communication and optimization
  • Good knowledge in performance management, DB parameters and features.
  • Ready to work extra hours during rush periods
  • Maintains professional relationships with all departments
  • Ensures confidentiality of information
  • Strong background of LTE optimization in multi-layered setup
