Job Description:
  • Incumbent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including keeping the warehouse tidy, clean, in good condition and making sure property and furniture is properly stored. Has the day-to-day responsibility for warehouse safety and security, under the guidance of SHEM and POSHO, through policies determined by STATE. Incumbent is the team leader for 5 Warehouse Workers.
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Two (2) years experience in warehouse work is required, including work involving the safe lifting, storing, and movement of related goods.
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures is required. Knowledge of efficient use of warehouse storage space and ability to coordinate activities and stacking of items/equipment is required.

Education Requirements:

  • Completion of Secondary School is required.

Evaluations:

LANGUAGE: 

  • Good working knowledge Speaking/Writing/Reading in English is required. 

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:  

  • Must be able to perform moderately heavy work, including the physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and make heavy lifts at times using appropriate safety equipment such as forklifts and other mechanical lifting aids.
  • Must be able to count stock, read property numbers, and record by use of a scanner.
  • Must have basic typing skills for data entry and basic computer user skills (MS Word).   
  • Must have a valid, current category E Nigerian driver’s license for a car.

Voucher Examiner

Job Description:

The incumbent performs full range of voucher examination functions for State department and more than 13 other agencies and is responsible for the complete voucher process until the final certification. The Incumbent is required to process a wide variety of payments with the use of Integrated Logistics Management Systems (ILMS) E-invoicing system and the Regional Financial Management System (RFMS) in a timely manner within ICASS standard while adhering to US Government regulations. Incumbent processes, examines, and audits invoices and other supporting documents, which require payment for goods and services and other expenses delivered to the USG. Incumbent ensures payment vouchers are valid, accurate, adequately supported by proper and sufficient documentation and consistent with the terms and conditions stated in contracts, purchase orders, blanket purchase agreements, leases, grants, authorizations, provisions of pertinent regulations, and issues the required payment in USD or local currency. 

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A minimum of two (2) years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting including at least six months of experience in voucher examining work is required.
  •  An intermediate understanding of the host country laws and regulations is required. Working knowledge of host country financial best practices and banking procedures to ensure vendor payments and salary payments is required. 

Education Requirements:

  • Two (2) years of University studies is required.

LANGUAGE:  Fluency in speaking/reading/writing of English is required.  

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Administrative Assistant

Job Description:

The incumbent serves as the primary office manager for the local employed staff assigned to the Regional Security Office. Incumbent is responsible for creation and maintenance of individual security files for all non-US personnel to whom an Embassy identification badge has been issued, scheduling interviews, and creation of identification badges for private domestic employees (when authorized by the RSO), preparation of time and attendance reports for the Regional Security Office, preparation of travel authorizations, travel vouchers and eCC for RSO personnel, initiation of procurement requests, and preparation of authorizations for police stipend payments for Nigerian police personnel seconded to the Embassy. Performs personnel background, accident, criminal and other investigations as directed by the Deputy Regional Security Officer or Senior RSO, under the oversight of the Senior FSNI. Prepares written reports of investigation and investigative case summaries. Assists the Regional Security Office in liaison with host nation security counterparts. Acts as the RSO Class B Sub-Cashier and arranges office supplies for RSO FSNs. 

Qualifications and Requirements:

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum of (5) five years progressive experience in general administrative duties including investigative experience is required
  • Good working knowledge of general office administration and related procedures, investigative techniques, police procedures, criminal behavior, and technical report writing pertaining to investigative casework is required.
  • Good working knowledge of documentary sources, information, and familiarity with pertinent Nigerian and U.S. laws is required.
  • Good working knowledge of the structure and functions of Nigerian national-level security agencies is required.

Education Requirements:

  • University Degree in Political Science, Secretarial Studies, Business studies or Security studies is required.
  • NYSC Certificate or Exemption document is required.

  • Fluent speaking/reading/writing of English is required.
