“My dad borrowed money to send me school” – Graduate who stormed LAUTECH to return certificate speaks (Video)

A young Nigerian man named as Oludare Alaba, has become internet sensation as he stormed his alma-mater university, Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, to return his school certificate.

Oludare did not only return his certificate, he also requested that they pay back his school fees throughout his years of study.

In a video making the rounds online, the young man was spotted trying to handover his certificate as the university security tried to stop him.

He noted that his certificate did not give him financial gain, breaking his silence on the reasons for taking such actions.

Speaking with Tribune online, Oludare revealed that frustration pushed him to do it and he did not want to consider the only other option which was to do voodoo or blood money.

The graduate said, “I cannot do blood money because I was to be useful to Nigeria, my family, myself, and God”.

The young man also disclosed that his father borrowed money to sponsor his education due to his inability to raise a loan for him.

In addition, the LAUTECH revealed that he is an entertainer which won him an award during his youth service but he cannot monetize it now because he is not able to raise a capital to start his own outfit.

According to Oludare, his father confronted him about his ambition and said he ought to be reaping his labor on him already. On hearing that, the young man revealed that he burst into tears but had to act like a man.

Oludare stated that he wanted his school to give him all the school fees he had spent in exchange for the “useless” certificate so he can use money to do something tangible.
