A Ghanaian man, Jefferson Aryettey, has finally passed his levels of Association of Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) after 23 attempts.
He recounted his difficult journey and how he overcame all the challenges to accomplish his dreams. Astonishingly, the young man shared his story on his LinkedIn page, inspiring others.
Jefferson disclosed that it took him more than half a decade to pass after failing severally.
He wrote, “6 years, 23 exam sittings, and 13 passes later, to the glory of God, I DID IT! What a journey it has been! After 23 collective attempts, I finally passed ALL levels of the ACCA charter!!! What a humbling experience.”
“I started my ACCA journey in level 100 at the University of Ghana and I aspired to attain the ACCA designation by the the end of my final year.”
“Boy, was I wrong; Failure after failure, and financial struggle after financial struggle, I would query myself about whether this “Pro Accountant thing” was for me or if it was worth it because it seemed outright impossible.”
“Although it took me longer than I anticipated to the extent where I contemplated quitting multiple times, with cadaverous hope, determination and resilience, I persevered.”
“Today, I am a proud member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.”
The Ghanaian man encouraged people to keep striving and never give up on their dreams.
He furthered, “I know someone out there reading this is ready to throw in the towel on their ACCA journey, but I am here to encourage that as long as you stay in that ring and fight, no matter the number of rounds, that title will be won. Painful victory tastes sweetest.”
