The British monarch’s burial was recently held and some Nigerian aunties across the world showed their love for the Queen Elizabeth, stormed London to give their last respect.
Popular Nigerian Journalist, Dele Momodu, took to his verified Instagram page as he shared stunning photos of the Nigerian women at the Queen’s burial.
Aso-ebi is a uniform dress traditionally worn in Nigeria as an indicator of cooperation and solidarity during ceremonies and festive periods.
The aunties represented Nigeria in London as they rocked matching aso-ebi in different colors which have the photo of Queen Elizabeth printed boldly on it.
According to Dele momodu’s caption on the post, the attires were said to be brought all the way from Lagos to London.
He wrote, “It started as a joke and one of us took it seriously. The outfits were turned around in four days and delivered from Lagos to London the day before the event..”
