2023: 15-year-old boy gives reason for standing in front of Peter Obi’s convoy at Labour Party’s rally in Lagos (Video)

A 15-year-old boy, identified as, Yusuf Alami, captured in a viral photo where he stood in front of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has revealed the reason for his action.

Recall that the former governor of Anambra State rounded up his state presidential campaign in Lagos, on Saturday, February 11, 2023, with a rally held at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island, after campaigning across the 36 states of the federation.

The vice presidential candidate, Datti Baba-Amed was also present at the finale, as well as the leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-political organization Afenifere, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, and other chieftains of the party.

In the picture that went viral on social media, Yusuf Alami is seen stretching his arms out wide in front of a Toyota Prado SUV, with Peter Obi standing through the open roof of the car, smiling at the teenager.

The 15-year-old boy during an interview disclosed that he stood in front of the convoy because of his love for the LP flagbearer.

“I will pray for him when he (Obi) finally emerges winner (in February 25 presidential poll),” Alabi was quoted as saying in his video interview.

Meanwhile, the photo seemed to have touched many Nigerians as they were in awe of the love the young boy had for the politician.

A Facebook user, Ifeanyi Onukwubiri, took to his page to ask for the boy’s whereabouts because he wanted to gift him N100,000. Not stopping there, he also promised to get the boy a smartphone if he did not already have one.

Popular socialite, Cubana Chiefpriest, was also impressed by the young boy’s show of love for Peter Obi and he also showed interest in finding him and rewarding him.

Taking to his Instagram story, Chiefpriest noted that he will like to send the boy something because his life has to change.
