The All Progressives Congress (APC) has again blasted critics, saying no matter how the controversy surrounding, Tinubu’s health is being “parroted”
Festus Keyamo, the spokesperson for the presidential campaign council of the APC presidential standard bearer, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stated this while appearing on Arise TV morning show on Monday, January 16, 2023.
According to him, Tinubu had never collapsed or fallen anywhere before, therefore, asking for his health status was baseless.
Keyamo was addressing questions concerning the campaign activities of the APC as the presidential election draws closer.
Recall that Tinubu’s health has come under criticism, with many saying his fragile look makes him unfit to be the leader of Nigeria.
Before now, critics have raised suspicions that Tinubu may be afflicted with Parkinson’s disease.
Perkinson’s is a disorder of the central nervous system that affects movement, often including tremors.
However, Tinubu had earlier said he is hale and hearty, dismissing speculations from the opposition over the state of his health.
Tinubu stated this while addressing the Kano Business Community Council, which organized a dinner in his honour in the state on Saturday, October 22, 2022, said he was not fighting the WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) but running for the presidency.
The former Lagos State governor said he was smarter than those who accused him of ill-health
He said in a video clip, “Some ignorant people, I’ve been standing before you, I’m not running for hundred yards or 500 yards hurdle.
“I’m running for the presidency. I’m not competing in WWW wrestling. Even if I go out there and they say (he is) sick, I’m standing before you. Do I look like a sick man?
“Nigerians put me out of their reach. Vote for me 100 percent. They will stop complaining because I’m smarting than they are. The commercial exploitation of the whole of you is greater than the sum total of the other parties’ equation.”
