The Senior personal assistant to the General Overseer of the redeemed church, Leke Adeboye, has ‘swallowed’ his statements and apologized for calling pastors in the church ‘goats’.
Leke Adeboye, who doubles as the son of Pastor Enoch Adeboye recently lambasted some erring pastors of the church, calling them ‘goats’ for preaching their sermons after the G.O. had finished speaking and preaching.
Some of the pastors of the church felt offended by his comments generating outrage on social media as many condemned the statement while some others called for his suspension.
It was however reported exclusively by SaharaReporters that the GO’s son was made to face a panel on Wednesday but was not was not punished and only asked to desist from making such comments in the future.
However, in a post by Pastor Leke Adeboye on instagram on Thursday, the pastor tendered his sincere apologies for referring to his fellow pastors as goats.
The statement titled “My sincere apology’ reads: “I wish to use this medium to tender my unreserved apologies on the statement made from my social media handle about some of our esteemed Pastors.
“The disciplinary measures taken by the mission is well received and this period will be used to reflect and introspect.
“I wish to crave your indulgence to please forgive my extreme statement which I wish to emphasise was absolutely not intended to insult or malign.
“I also wish to apologise profusely to the entire leadership and Pastors of our beloved Church who might have been hurt by this statement.
“I remain humbly yours in God’s love and mercies. Yours in His service, Leke Adeboye.”
