BREAKING: AMCON seizes former Kwara Governor’s house over 5bn debt

Former kwara state Governor, Abdul Fatah Ahmed has loses  one of his house to Asset management corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) as a result of accumulating debt, that he refuse to honor. 

A viral video confirmed an Unknown voice with security agent seizing his Abuja residence, and demanding that The Former state Governor should pay up, or lose his properties to the Government. 

The occupants were told to leave the house, stating that the house will be locked up, until the death is paid.

The voice behind the short video also claimed that they are moving to the other properties, until the debt is fully paid. He concluded

This is not the first time the  former  Governor, we have problem with law enforcement, in the past, he had been accused of fraud, and money laundering by the EFCC

In December 2020, Ahmed was arrested by Nigerian authorities in connection with his alleged involvement in a long-running financial fraud. 

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission had been probing his wife’s involvement as well. The fraud may have reached two billion naira.
