The Senator representing Ekiti Central Senatorial District, Bamidele Opeyemi, has emerged as Majority Leader of the 10th Senate.

The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio made the announcement on Tuesday, July 4, 2023, when the senate resumed plenary after three weeks vacation.

The emergence followed the recommendation by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
