BREAKING: Saudi Arabia announces Thursday as Eid-il-Fitr day

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has announced the new new moon for the month of Shawwal was not sighted on Tuesday, making fasting obligatory for 30 days.

This was announced through the official handle of the two holy mosques – Mecca and Medina.

The announcement reads: “The moon has NOT been sighted in Saudi Arabia.

#Eid-il-Fitr will be celebrated on Thursday 13th May 2021 insha’Allah 

“May Allah ﷻ accept our fasting, prayers and ‘ibadah and allow us to end the blessed month of Ramadan with devotion and ‘ibadah. Aameen
