BREAKING: Twitter deletes Buhari’s tweet threatening to deal with “misbehaving Nigerians” who wants another civil war

Popular microblogging platform Twitter, has deleted a tweet sent out by President Muhammadu yesterday, where he warned that the FG will deal with misbehaving Nigerians in the language they understand.

In a series of tweets shared by President Muhammadu Buhari yesterday, he warned that Nigerians who keep attacking security operatives as well as assets of the Government should expect the shock of their lives as the Government will not fold arms to see the destruction of lives and properties.

He thereafter, mentioned that some Nigerians who are misbehaving are too young to understand the loss of lives and properties that the country suffered during the civil war, saying the Government will “treat them with the language that they understand”.

In his words, he said: “Many of those misbehaving today are too young to be aware of the destruction and loss of lives that occurred during the Nigerian Civil War. Those of us in the fields for 30 months, who went through the war, will treat them in the language they understand.

Some Nigerians however, raised an eyebrow to his statement, accusing him of threatening an entire geopolitical zone of the country.

They thereafter sponsored a report campaign on his tweet, asking Nigerians to report the President’s speech as hate speech, prompting the microblogging platform to delete the tweet of President Muhammadu Buhari.

A check on President Buhari’s officail twitter handle indicated that his tweet have t been deleted.
