BREAKING: Twitter down, users in Nigeria, others unable to view threads and load replies

Elon Musk’s newly acquired social messaging app Twitter is down with many users in Nigeria and other countries complaining that they were unable access the app.

The outage was noticed in Nigeria around 3:00 pm on Sunday, December 11, 2022.

The micro-blogging app shutdown came hours after Elon musk tweeted; “Twitter is speeding up.”

While the reason for the outage is yet to be known, users will currently be losing million as the app controls more than 206 million monetizable monthly users as of 2021.

Recall that Elon Musk in the early hours of Thursday, October 28, 2022, tweeted “the bird is freed”, in an apparent reference to the deal closing.

He diissolved Twitter’s Board of Director days after taking over the company.

A number of top executives, including the boss, Parag Agrawal, the Chief Financial Officer, Ned Segal; Chief legal officer, Vijaya Gadde; and general counsel Sean Edgett, were also dismissed the same day.
