Nigerians are one of the most active countries on twitter having a lot of influencers and taking the world stage by making the #EndSARS hashtag number 1 in the world to voice their frustrations against Police Brutality in the country.
Twitter in recognition of the injustice, dedicated an emoji to the #EndSARS hashtag to solidarize with the Nigerian people.
Many influencers, whom were voices of the #EndSARS protest have seen the other side of Twitter after agreeing to promote a man named “Alex Saab” who is wanted in the United States for money laundering.

Alex Saab’s engagement on social media has been placed under investigation after an intelligence analysis report published by Financial Times revealed that Venezuelan government is using fake Twitter accounts to sway public opinion and stop authorities in the West African islands of Cape Verde from extraditing its chief dealmaker (Alex Saab) to the US.
The report analysed more than half a million Twitter posts related to Saab, a Colombian citizen accused by the US of running illicit fuel and gold trading schemes to help Venezuela’s President Nicolas Maduro evade sanctions.
Saab was indicted last July of bribing Venezuelan officials and funneling more than $350 million to overseas accounts as part of a food programme intended to serve those going hungry in Venezuela.
Nigerian Influencers, whom are probably oblivious of this fact got in contact with Alex Saab’s social handlers and must have received payments to promote him.
Popular influencers like – Pamilerin, Four eyed Edo Boy, Danny walter, Tife, Volqx, Lamar, Uncle Mohamz and many others got suspended.
Twitter has not released any official statement to address the massive suspension.
