COVID-19: Buhari’s Govt. under attack for banning #EndSars Protest in Abuja

Few minutes after the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) announced the banning of street protests due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Buhari’s administration has been under heavy criticisms from citizens of the country.

The FCTA had earlier today announced that the FCT Security Committee has prohibited streets demonstrations in a bid to instill the COVID-19 safety protocols.

Citizens has however taken to social media to say that their press release was not sincere as various governmental activities that involves mingling and mixing have taken place without them raising an eyebrow.

In various series of tweets, citizens listed events that have taken place during the COVID-19 activeness that shows the timing of the FCTA is not guided sincerely.

Some of the events that was listed includes;

  • Nigeria @ 60 Celebration
  • Ondo State Rallies
  • Edo State Rallies
  • Abba Kyari’s Burial
  • Emir Zazzau of Zaria burial
  • among many others.
