Crisis rocks Osogbo as suspected yahoo boys blocks EFCC from seizing 20 cars, protest alleged extortion (Video)

Crisis rocks Osogbo as some suspected yahoo boys have taken over the streets to engage in a massive protest against what they described as illegal operation and extortion from the EFCC operatives in the State.

According to reports, the crisis started at around 2AM Tuesday morning after some operatives of the EFCC stormed the houses of some of the youths, seizing several cars and making some arrests.

Their operation was however foiled as a lot of youths trooped out in the midnight to block roads out for the EFCC operatives and the cars they seized.

In a video circulating online, it was shown that the en masse protest saw the ‘boys’ retrieve their cars from being seized by the EFCC. Watch the video below:

As soon as the day break in Osogbo, there was a heavy protest by the suspected internet yahoo boys along major junctions in the city.

Placards were carried and some tires were set on fire to indicate the presence of a protest. In one of the placards carried by one of the protesters, it reads: “We have never seen arrest from the North. Why always South West. Enough of the extortion from EFCC. Say No To EFCC Extortion”
