BREAKING: Ex-Buhari’s minister Solomon Dalung loses mother one year after his son’s death

Former Minister of Youths and Sports under ex-president Muhammadu Buhari’s government, Solomon Dalung has lost his mother.

Dalung announced the demise of his mother via his Facebook page on Thursday morning, November 30, 2023.

He said; “It is with a heavy heart that I share the news of my beloved mother’s passing. Her departure leaves a profound void, and I am deeply touched by the outpouring of condolences during this challenging time.

“Mama was not just my mother; she was a remarkable soul whose infectious energy and charisma touched the lives of many. Losing a mother is an incredibly difficult experience, and the beautiful memories we shared together will forever hold a special place in my heart.

“I want to express my gratitude for your thoughts and prayers. Your support means the world to me as I navigate through this period of grief. I ask for your understanding as I take the time needed to mourn and find strength in the cherished memories we created with Mama.


“Please be assured that your kindness does not go unnoticed, and I am grateful for the solidarity shown during this difficult journey. Let us honor Mama’s memory by cherishing the love she shared with us.”

This came a month after he lost his 33-year-old son, Nehemiah Dalung on October 24, 2023.

Nehemiah died after being bedridden with an unknown ailment.

Dalung served as the Nigeria’s Minister of Youth and Sports under Buhari’s government from 2015 to 2019.
