BREAKING: Ex-Ogun governor aide Joseph Odemuyiwa dies in auto crash en route Ibadan

A former Special Adviser to the Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun on Technical Education, Joseph Odemuyiwa has lost his life in a fatal auto crash.

Odemuyiwa, a Professor of Business Education with a passion for training people in vocational skills, reportedly died on Tuesday in an accident on his way to Ibadan.

The demise of the don was confirmed by the lawmaker representing Remo North State constituency, Dickson Awolaja.

Awolaja, who is also from Isara Remo just like the late professor said, “I just confirmed from a friend not long ago. Prof was said to be going to Ibadan when he had the accident. This is sad.”

Odemuyiwas was known as a Nigerian professor with skills in 19 vocations.

Aside from his academic qualifications, Joseph Odemuyuwa learned many vocations from artisans and informal vocational centers to further equip himself with the required skills.

He was the immediate past President of the Workplace Educators and Managers Association of Nigeria (WEMAN).

In another development, a speeding driver has reportedly killed one yet-to-be-identified male pedestrian in the early hours of Tuesday, in Ketu, along the Mile 12- Ikorodu Expressway of Lagos State.

The driver, who was conveying pepper and some perishable items, was reported to have rammed into two other vehicles and a pedestrian, killing the pedestrian and injuring one passenger.

The Director of Public Affairs, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Adebayo Taofiq, confirmed the incident.

He said, “A commercial Toyota Hiace Bus (NSW 216 XA) fully loaded with pepper and other perishable items early this morning rammed into two other Volkswagen commercial buses and killed a pedestrian (male) at Ketu by Demurim Junction inward Kosofe, Lagos.”
