Ex-personal assistant arrested in murder of NYC tech entrepreneur Fahim Saleh

Police have arrested a former personal assistant in the gruesome death of tech entrepreneur Fahim Saleh, sources said.

Ex-assistant Tyrese Devon Haspil, 21, was busted in connection with the grisly murder of the 33-year-old tech CEO, who was found by his sister dismembered and decapitated Tuesday in his $2 million Manhattan condo, sources said.

Sources said Haspil embezzled “a significant amount of money.” Saleh found out about it and offered him a way to pay it back before he was found executed in his seventh-floor residence. A portion of that exchange was through text message, said sources.

Haspil used his credit card to purchase the electric saw used to dismember Saleh’s body. A Taser prong found on Saleh’s body had a serial number that also connected Haspil the murder, according to sources.

Autopsy results show that Saleh was fatally stabbed in the neck and chest by his assassin before his arms and legs were lopped off.

Saleh was the co-founder of Gokada, a motorcycle ride-sharing service based in Nigeria.

The NYPD’s Hate Crime Task Force has been brought into the investigation.
