FG approves N1.63bn for establishment of poultry farm in Nigeria

The Federal Government under the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari has approved a sum of N1.63 billion for the procurement of poultry in Borno, Plateau, Yobe and Zamfara states.

The decision was revealed by the Minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management and social development, Sadiya Farouk, on Wednesday after the Federal Executive Council meeting.

According to her, the approved sum of N1.63 billion will be shared across Borno, Plateau, Yobe and Zamfara State.

Explaining how it will be shared, she said, N60.27 million will be given to Borno and Plateau for the procurement of poultry in favour of Messrs Nasim & Janan Collection Limited.

She said the approved sum revises the initial contract by 4.86 percent from N1.23 billion to N1.29 billion.

Explaining further, she said, the FEC approved the procurement of Poultry for Yobe and Zamfara states (Lot C9) in favour of Messrs Bravura Tech. Limited in the sum of N15.88 million.

She explained that this also represents an increase of 4.87 percent of the initial contract sum from N324.71 million to N340.52 million.
