Former Nogerian President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan is currently in Kenya to observe the nation’s general elections.
According to a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media, Ikechukwu Eze, Jonathan will serve as the Head of the Electoral Observation Mission of the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA).
EISA has deployed a full-fledged short-term team of 21 observers drawn from civil society organisations to the East African nation.
Goodluck posted pictures from the election on his verified Facebook account, saying “Election day in Kenya. We set out at dawn as members of the Election Observation Mission of the Electoral Institute for Sustainable Democracy in Africa (EISA) to observe voting procedures in some polling stations in Nairobi, Kenya.
“As the good people of Kenya come out today to cast their ballots across the country, we look forward to a peaceful outcome and the strengthening of democracy in the Republic of Kenya. GEJ”
