Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar has reacted to his deleted tweet condemning killing of Deborah Samuel in Sokoto State.
The former vice president gave the explanation on Friday when he visited Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State at the Government House in Benin City, the state capital.
He revealed that the tweet was deleted because he did not approve that it should be posted in the first instance.

He claimed that he was not scared to speak on critical issues, noting that he would, however, not allow any post on his official social media handles to be published without his approval.
It could be recalled that Deborah Samuel, a second-year student of the Shehu Shagari College of Education in Sokoto State, was killed on Thursday following an allegation that she had blasphemed Muhammad (SAW), the prophet of Islam.
The presidential aspirant tweeted on Thursday night on verified handle which also triggered unpleasant reactions from users from the northern part of the country before it was deleted.

He said “Every tweet has to get my expressed approval but this one didn’t; so I asked them to take it down.
“I took a stand about Sharia law and was abused, thrown stones at, but how long did it last? Despite that, I didn’t change my position on that. I am not afraid to take a stand on critical issues.”He added
