Ibadan Muslims Network Set to Host Another Edition of Ibadan Muslims Hangout

All plans are in motion as Ibadan Muslims Network, a community of young Muslim professionals based in the city of Ibadan is set to host another edition of its groundbreaking hangout, Ibadan Muslims Hangout.

The hangout, the maiden edition of which was held in December of 2018 is primed as the largest gathering of Muslim youths in the city of Ibadan after an outstanding turnout at the first edition held at Trans Amusement Park, Bodija, Ibadan.

In a statement by the Organizing Team, the team’s project manager, Zainab Haroun noted that “Ibadan Muslims Hangout 2020 is tailored towards Muslim youths in the city of Ibadan with a focus on sparking conversations around faith, life choices, career and other factors that define the urban Muslim youth.”

This edition of the hangout, scheduled for Sunday, 20th of December, 2020 at Trans Amusement Park, Bodija, Ibadan is themed ‘Life, Hereafter: Attaining the Best of Both Worlds’ in an attempt to discuss contemporary issues and emerging trends in the areas of Faith, Entrepreneurship, Media and Tech and how they define the reality of Muslim youths in the city of Ibadan and beyond.


“The focus here is to drive clarifying conversations that reminds Muslim youths of the need to do well in life without forfeiting the hereafter and vice versa. However, as existential as the thematic focus of the event sounds, it is meant to be a softly-toned conversation in a relaxed environment that fosters learning, meeting new people, having fun, and playing games all at the same time,” the statement further read in part.

Renown scholar, Alhaji M.A Bada will be the Keynote Speaker at the event while thought leaders from the areas of faith, media, entrepreneurship and technology including Mallam Sanusi Lafiagi, a lecturer at Al-Hikmah University, digital media executive – Bhadmus ‘Bhadoosky’ Habdulhakeem, Deputy Head of Investigations at Premium Times Newspaper – Mojeed Alabi, Blogger, Author cum Academic Administrator – Rodiyah Aderinoye-Ajiboye among others have been drawn in for the event.

“Registration is still on-going and there is on-site registration as well for the hangout which promises to feature discussions, live Nasheed performances, games, and other fun activities”, the statement further stated.
