JUST IN: Former Nigerian Minister of Labour Musa Gwadabe dies at 86

Former Minister of Labour and Productivity and a founding member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Musa Gwadabe, has passed away at the age of 86.

Gwadabe died today, Wednesday, April 26, 2023, at the Kano Hospital after a prolonged illness.

A daughter of the deceased, who is also a worker at Radio Nigeria Pyramid FM Kano, Aisha Musa Gwadabe confirmed the death.

She said the funeral prayer of the late minister would hold at 2.00 pm (today) at his residence off Maiduguri road, in Kano.

During Olusegun Obasanjo’s first tenure as president from 1999 to 2003, Gwadabe served as a minister.

He was also the Secretary to Kano State Government during the tenure of the late Sabo Bakin Zuwo and was a member of various boards.

The deceased is survived by two wives, 11 children, and several grandchildren. Alhaji Nazifi Musa Gwadabe, one of his children, is a contractor based in Kano.
