Nasarawa state governor Abdullahi Sule has postponed the inauguration of the 7th Nasarawa State Assembly.
The governor in the statement issued by Ibrahim Musa, the acting Clerk of the House, said that the postponement was based on security advice.
The statement read, “The Acting Clerk, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Musa, wishes to inform all Honorable Members-elect and the general public that, based on security advice, the scheduled inauguration of the first session of the 7th Assembly, as directed by His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Nasarawa State, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, is hereby postponed.”
The statement further assured that a new date and time for the inauguration would be communicated to the elected members and the public.
It concluded by expressing regret for any inconvenience caused by the postponement.
