Juve confirm Pirlo as new manager

Serie A giants Juventus have appointed former club star Andrea Pirlo as their new manager, following the departure of Maurizio Sarri.

The club recently announced Pirlo as their U23 coach, but it seems they have had a change of heart after Sarri was sacked on Saturday.

There were reports that Mauricio Pochettino and Simone Inzaghi were on the short-list to replace Sarri, but the club have now gone with the 2006 World Cup winner.
