Nigeria Police Force arrests “bribe seeking” officer caught on camera while asking for cash (Video)

The Ekiti State Police Unit has announced that Nigeria Police Force has sacked a Police Officer who was captured seeking for bribe from motorist in Ekiti State on Friday.

The Police Officer was captured in a video that went viral asking a man to give him cash because he does not have a tinted permit.

The man’s offer to transfer to his account was rejected as the policeman said he wanted to send him fake alert.

The Police Complaint Response Unit (CRU) quickly responded to the video in circulation and few hours later, it announced that the Policeman in the video has been identified and arrested  for investigation.

The Police said in a tweet: “The officer who was seen in this viral video behaving in an unprofessional and corrupt manner, has been identified, arrested, disarmed and detained for further investigation and disciplinary action. Ekiti PPRO.
