A video showing some Nigerian school children lamenting that they will not go school until Professor Yemi Osinbajo declares to run for presidency in the upcoming 2023 general elections has surfaced online, generating a lot of mixed reactions.
Political analysts have been expecting to witness a new twist to the Nigerian political space through a declaration of presidential ambition by Professor Yemi Osinbajo, who has served as the country’s vice-president since 2015.
Prof. Osinbajo is perceived by many to be nursing a presidential ambition in the upcoming 2023 presidential elections. Despite all the much political calculations, he is yet to express an interest in becoming Nigeria’s president in 2023.
His inability to declare has also been linked to a lack of confidence to confront the ambition of his Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who already announced his interest to become president.
In a video circulating online, some Nigerian children have expressed that they will not go to school until Prof. Yemi Osinbajo declares for presidency. The aim of the video remains unclear as some regarded it to be a comedy show.
However, the video was attributed to have emerged from an acclaimed “Lawyers 4 Osinbajo”, making such comedy claims doubtful. Some online users attributed the video to have emerged from Osinbajo’s campaign office to promote the vice-president in preparation for his declaration.
The video expressed that some children will not go to school until Yemi Osinbajo declares and also expressed that a wife has refused to give her husband peace all because Osinbajo has failed to declare his alleged presidential ambition. The video has been viewed about 500,000 times on twitter as at press time.
