Nigerians on social media have blasted popular Instagram comedian Debo Adedayo popularly known as Mr. Macaroni for attacking the government of Lagos state “with mouth” without joining politics.
The reactions came shortly after the comedian recently described the Governor Sanwo-Olu led Lagos State government as the worst ever government in Lagos State.
The comedian made the statement while recounting how he was brutalized and dehumanized during the End SARS protests.
“Na under this government dem kill innocent protesters!! It was under this same government that I and others were brutalized and dehumanized.
“Police dey beat me dey even ask me say why I dey disturb Mr Governor, so again, I say, this is the worst government Lagos state has had!!!,” he tweeted on Monday.
Shortly after he posted his tweet, several Nigerians took to his comment section to advise him to join politics to make changes in the system he criticizes.

Some fans who called his attention to the idea that he could join politics mentioned that Nigeria’s popular musician Olubankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W has joined politics in 2015 and has clinched the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos State.
Banky W won the ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to contest for the House of Representatives, Eti-Osa Federal Constituency seat in the 2023 elections.
He polled twenty-eight votes to emerge top of the list of other contenders from the opposition party that are jostling for the same ticket.
In the 2019 elections, Banky W contested the House of Representatives seat under the Modern Democratic Party (MDP), but lost to Ibrahim Obanikoro of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Some fans on social media took to their handles to throw their weight behind the musician, asking all those that came out to protest during #EndSARS to support him financially and throughout his campaign.
