REVEALED: How 69 police officers were neglected and left to live in squalor after carrying out a special assignment in Kastina

The Nigeria Police Force has allegedly neglected 69 Police Officers after carrying out a special assignment in Katsina State between the month of January and May 2021.

According to sources familiar with the mission, the officers were gathered for the mission as an order received “from above”. They were assured that they will be duly paid with allowances, including feeding and accommodation during the mission.

However, the source confirmed to Intel Region that the division sent to Katsina State have not been paid since the conclusion of the mission in May 2021.

According to him, other officers who carried out similar mission in other states have been paid but he suspect there has been a sabotage at the Katsina State Budget Office.

In his story, he said: “On January 2021 we were deployed to Kastina state (Kurfi Local Government) on special duties from Lagos. We were supposed to be fed and given allowances throughout our duration of duties but these was not done up till May 2021 when we returned back to Lagos.

“Nothing was done but when we complained out of 62 and the unit commander making 63 only 9 people were paid for first month and that was all,” he said.

“Others who went on the same mission in other states have been paid. We don’t know why we are not been paid”?

“Till today nothing was done and other who went on the same special duties else where where paid. People I suspect that are incharged are budgeting office kastina,” he concluded.

The Public Relations Officee of the Nigerian Police Force, CP Frank Mba, is yet to respond to our enquiries as at the time of filing this report.
