Thugs alledgedly belonging to Adeleke’s PDP destroy Tinubu’s campaign billboards in Osun

Thugs suspected to be supporters of Governor Ademola Adeleke have destroyed the campaign billboards of the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, in some parts of Osun State.

It was gathered that the billboards were destroyed on Monday, about 24 hours after the state’s new Governor, Ademola Adeleke, was sworn in on Sunday.

Recall that Adeleke on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) polled 403, 371 votes to defeat the incumbent Governor, Gboyega Oyetola who polled 375,027 votes on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Also, governor Adeleke ordered that the palaces of the Akinrun of Ikirun, Aree of Iree and Owa of Igbajo, remain unoccupied while security agencies should take over with immediate effect.

The governor noted in Executive Order 5, that appointments into the three and other traditional ruler positions, made after July 17, 2022 have been put on hold pending review.

Adeleke also approved the constitution of review committees for the state of government affairs in the state.

He also reversed all appointments made in Ministries, Departments, Agencies, Boards, and Parastatals after July 17, 2022.

Supporters of Governor Adeleke have been accused of being responsible for the destruction of Tinubu’s campaign billboards but the accusation has not been verified nor has the PDP leadership in the state refuted the allegation.
