To begin with, we are looking for young people to get on board the UN Youth Envoy’s Fellowship, which aims at providing you, a young talent 💪, a chance to get involved the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.

UN Volunteer in Youth Peace and Security

  • Eligibility criteria
Candidate age: between 18 and 29 throughout the entire duration of their assignment. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.
 
    • Required degree level- Bachelor degree or equivalent
Educational additional comments

Recognized First Level University degree in one of the following fields: Political Science, Peace and Conflict studies, Human Rights, International Development or other relevant subject area.

  • Experience remark

Previous formal or informal experience in working on projects and programmes relating to Youth, Peace, and Security.

Fluency in English (both oral and written) and excellent writing skills

Excellent coordination, interpersonal and communication skills, organized approach and positive working attitude

Ability to work independently when given clear instructions

A constructive and can-do attitude, strong work ethic, an ability to take initiative, multitask, and a drive for on-time delivery

UN Volunteer in Data analysis and monitoring

  • Eligibility criteria
Candidate age: between 18 and 29 throughout the entire duration of their assignment. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.
 
  • Required degree level-   Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Educational additional comments

Recognized First Level University degree in one of the following fields: mathematics, statistics, demography, computer science, computer engineering, data science, business, finance or related fields

  • Experience remark
    • Previous formal or informal experience of working on data bases and/or statistical softwares, would be highly regarded.
    • Prior experience in data analytics using R, Python, SQL and data visualisations would be highly regarded
    • Fluency in another Official UN language, in addition to English, would be considered an asset
 
 

UN Volunteer in Gender Equality

  • Eligibility criteria
Candidate age: between 18 and 29 throughout the entire duration of their assignment. Nationals of the country of assignment are not eligible, except the assignments in Headquarters duty stations.
 
  • Required degree level – Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Educational additional comments

Recognized First Level University degree in one of the following fields: Gender, Feminist Studies, Human Rights, Political Science, International Development or other relevant subject area

  • Experience remark

Previous formal or informal experience in gender and youth policies and programmes.

Fluency in English (both oral and written); excellent writing skills

  • Desirable:

Previous formal or informal experience of working for/with feminist organizations, women’s rights or human rights organizations is an added advantage

Fluency in another Official UN language, in addition to English, would be considered an asset
