The 2023/2024 UEFA Champions League group stage remaining one match, and 12 teams have already secured their spots in the knockout stages.
The final fixtures of this season’s Champions League group stage will determine which four teams advance to the next round of the competition.
Atletico Madrid and Lazio both reached the knockout stages of European football’s premier club competition after beating Feyenoord 3-1 and Celtic 2-0 respectively.
Dortmund became the first team from Group F, the Group of Death, to qualify in this year’s competition with a stunning 3-1 win against last year’s semi-finalists Milan.
The Italians can still progress after Paris St-Germain and Newcastle United drew 1-1.
Reigning champions Manchester City came from 2-0 down to beat RB Leipzig 3-2 and maintain their perfect record in Group G. The Germans had also already qualified for the last 16.
And in Group H, Joao Felix scored the winner as Barcelona came from behind to defeat FC Porto 2-1 and ensure they avoided a repeat of last year’s failure to make it out of the group stages.
Porto and Shakhtar Donetsk are level in second place with the final fixtures on Wednesday 13 December deciding who joins the Catalans in the Round of 16 draw the following Monday.
On Wednesday, Arsenal’s 6-0 at home over Lens got the North Londoners into the knockout stage from Group B. PSV EIndhoven also managed to advance.
Manchester United visit Galatasaray in a vital match in Group A with the English giants hosting group winners Bayern Munich in their final fixture.
Braga need to beat Union Berlin in Group C to have any chance of denying Napoli the second spot in Group C behind 14-time champions Real Madrid, while Real Sociedad and last year’s runners-up Inter have already qualified from Group D.

When do the round of 16 games take place?
The draw for the Round of 16 is set for 18 December, with the ties played over the course of four weeks.
The 16 qualified teams are divided into two halves of eight, and clubs from the same national federation and those that have already faced each other in the group stages will not be able to meet again in the Round of 16.
Two-legged ties will determine the winner in the Round of 16, quarter-finals and semi-finals.
