The Super Eagles of Nigeria will open their camp on Wednesday in Uyo, ahead of their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Sao Tome and Principe on Sunday.
The Super Eagles have already qualified for the AFCON, but they will be looking to finish top of Group A with a win against Sao Tome and Principe. The match will be played at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo.
The 23-man squad for the match was announced on Sunday, and it includes some of the best players in Nigeria, such as Victor Osimhen, Kelechi Iheanacho, and Wilfred Ndidi.
The trio of Victor Boniface, Gift Orban and Jordan Torunarigha earning their invite while Tyronne Ebuehi and Jamilu Collins returned to the team.
The players are expected to start arriving in Uyo on Wednesday, and they will have a few days to train before the match.
Head coach Jose Peseiro will be hoping to get his team firing on all cylinders for the match, as he will be looking to build momentum ahead of the AFCON next year.

The Super Eagles are one of the favorites to win the AFCON next year, and this squad gives them a good chance of achieving their goal.
