An Angry Tottenham Hotspur fan burns his Christian Eriksen Shirt in a video hours after he verbally agreed to join Manchester United.

The Danish international spent the second half of last season back in the Premier League with Brentford, and he impressed.

Brentford, Tottenham and United offered him fresh terms, but he has communicated his preferences to Old Trafford.

Eriksen played for Spurs between 2013 and 2020 and is regarded as one of the club’s greatest midfielders in the modern era.

Some have taken his decision to join United badly, and one fan destroyed his old ‘Eriksen 23’ shirt before posting the video to social media.

The 30-year-old was initially hesitant about leaving London, where he has played all his Premier League games.

As a result of a cardiac arrest he suffered last summer while playing for Denmark at Euro 2020, Eriksen had an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) implanted.

As a result, he was unable to play for Inter Milan because of Serie A regulations.

Eriksen returned to England under Brentford manager Thomas Frank, a fellow Dane who convinced him to return, and he helped steer them away from relegation.

In their message, the Bees made it clear they wanted to keep him and were willing to break their wage structure for him.

According to The Telegraph, Eriksen demanded £200,000-per-week and a $10 million signing-on bonus. It is currently unknown if those are the terms United accepted, but he will be signing a three-year deal.
